Notes from Mr. B.
Important dates are now listed on the calendar contained on this web page.
Greetings from the desk of Mr. Buzzard:
April means spring and the start of spring things. Following spring vacation the Clippers will begin a sprint toward the end of the 2014-2015 school year. With the first ever End of Year state tests, the close to the school year will have a different feel than in year's past.
From the Clipper's sports side of the ledger, track season will begin on April 8th with a home quad meet and finish with the ITCL championships on May 13th which will be hosted by the Clippers this year.
Testing will begin on March 27th and last until May 7th. Our spring test schedule has students testing in the AM with make-up tests being administered in the afternoon. Our students worked very hard on the earlier round of testing and we hope they do even better on this round.
It is very important to remember that with 2 weeks of testing and special schedules that there will be days that your child will test as well as special schedules for days that others are testing that will effect his or her day. These days will take up classroom time and there may be less grades to determine a student's final grade for the nine weeks. If a student receives a very low grade it will be much more difficult to bring up. Students need to get off to a good start and work hard to maintain their grades.
April 3,4,5,6- Spring Vacation.
April 10- NJHS Induction Ceremony.
April 11- DI to Columbus.
April 23- English Festival at YSU.
May 4,5,6- Camp Fitch for the 6th grade.
May 8,9- 8th grade to NY.
As always......Go Clips!!!!
