            The Columbiana Community Foundation is now 25 years old and continuing to benefit Columbiana and Fairfield Township with our funds invested through Huntington Trust in a mix of quality bonds and stocks with minimum risk.

            Our total assets at the end of 12/31/11 are $2,293,955 down a little from 2010 of  $2,341.06 due to market depreciation.  Our revenue was up $137,225 for 2011 from $74,725 in 2010.  Our expenditures were down in 2011 at $55,895 versus $77,402 in 2010; of that $33,390 was grants and scholarships plus $10,000 encumbered for a grant.  The balance was for trust management, printing, insurance, and postage. We review our budget quarterly. The accompanying Treasurer Report gives a more detail report.

            The Foundation is for the benefit of Columbiana and Fairfield Township with scholarships and grants to 501C3 tax exempt organizations and entities. A one time gift of a minimum $100.00 entitles the donor to a lifetime membership. At year end there were 161 members.  Anyone can set up a designated endowment for a 501C3 entity or scholarship as long as it is adequately funded.  Anyone can also add to an existing designated fund or use another financial institution and designate the Columbiana Foundation as recipient of income generated.

            The Trustees meet quarterly to review and make grants.  Our Web Site is http://www.columbiana.k12.oh.us/ccf/.  Applications can be downloaded or can be picked up at our office at 11 South Main Street, Columbiana, 8:30 A.M. – 12:30 P. M. Monday thru Friday.
