BARTON/KISSEL SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
This award shall be given to "one or more members of the graduating class of ColumbianaHigh School who has shown a documented intention to become a full time college or university student pursuing a Bachelor or Associate degree in the sciences or engineering." The recipient(s) "shall be selected based upon demonstrated academic achievement, including writing, and upon community and/or extra-curricular activity other than athletics. Financial need, popularity and gender shall not be considered." The recipient shall be chosen by a scholarship committee designated by ColumbianaHigh School according to the terms of their "Deed of Gift."


COLUMBIANA ALUMNI & FRIENDS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This award shall be given to both graduating seniors of ColumbianaHigh School and graduates of ColumbianaHigh School (male or female) who have demonstrated not only the ability to achieve academically but who have also been participants in extracurricular activities, both in and out of school. Financial need shall not be a factor in the selection of the recipient." The recipient shall be chosen by a scholarship committee designated by the Columbiana Alumni & Friends Scholarship Association, Inc


COLUMBIANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: This award shall be given to a graduating ColumbianaHigh School senior (male or female) who has demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and has been significantly involved in extracurricular activities other than athletics. Financial need shall not be a factor in the selection of the recipient. “The recipient shall be chosen by a committee designated by ColumbianaHigh School according to the terms of their "Deed of Gift."


COLUMBIANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP: A $2,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a Senior student at Columbiana High School and at Crestview High School to be used for additional education beyond high school. This scholarship will be divided evenly between the number of years of the program selected by the student. Applications completed by each prospective recipient to be reviewed by a panel of teachers chosen by the administration. The panel from each school will forward its nonbinding recommendations and all applications to a 3 member panel chosen annually by the President of Columbiana Community Foundation (CCF). The CCF panel will make the final selection.


CRESTVIEW LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This award shall be given to graduates of the Crestview Local School District, or any affiliated educational institution (CCCC), who have demonstrated excellence in academic achievement, exhibited good citizenship in school and community." The recipient shall be chosen by a committee designated by the Alumni Association and the CrestviewHigh School, as per the requirements of their "Deed of Gift."


DR. CHESTER W. DeWALT ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND: The award shall be given "to a graduating ColumbianaHigh School senior (male or female) who has participated in varsity football or basketball and who intends to go to college or university." The recipient shall be chosen by a committee designated by ColumbianaHigh School according to the terms of their "Deed of Gift."


DR. JAMES R. AND VYLEE CALVERT GARSTICK ENDOWMENT FUND: The award shall be made to "organizations (not individuals) which have their principal location within the corporate limits of Columbiana, Ohio and shall "fund such worthwhile projects as may be determined by the Foundation to fall within the scope of the charitable purposes of the Foundation”. The "grants may be combined with other grants from the Foundation."


E. GORDON WARNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This award shall be given "to one or more full time college students majoring in music or music education. A recipient shall be a graduate or shall have accrued sufficient credits for graduation from either ColumbianaHigh School or CrestviewLocalSchool." The recipient shall be chosen by a committee designated by the Columbiana Music Study Club.


GAMMA ETA SORORITY SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This award shall be given "to graduating senior girls of the ColumbianaExemptedSchool District." "The recipient(s) of the scholarship award(s) shall be chosen by a Gamma Eta Scholarship Committee of Gamma Eta's choosing”; said committee shall follow their "current scholarship recipient guidelines". "The recipient(s) shall use the award at any recognized 2 or 4 year educational institution".


JAMES R. BARROW FUND: This grant shall be for the benefit of the Columbiana Women's Club.


LUCILLE FUNKHOUSER MUNDY MUSIC AWARD FUND: The award recipients shall be selected based on the following criteria "a.) A history of a high degree of involvement in the band or choir program, b.) A cooperative spirit, as evidenced by attendance and self discipline, c.) A willingness to assist other band/choir members, as exhibited in peer interaction, d.) Playing or singing ability at (or above) grade level, e.) Financial need, popularity, gender, or the fact that the applicant may have received other honors shall not be considered." There shall be at least one award given each year to a ColumbianaHigh School senior member of the band and to a senior member of the choir, if the criteria is met. The recipient for each award may be the same person. The award is for past achievement; no continuing education is required but is encouraged. The recipient shall be chosen by a committee designated by ColumbianaHigh School according to the terms of her "Deed of Gift".


WILLIAM D. BOOTH SCHOLARSHIP FUND: "The recipient shall have been a pupil either taught or coached by William D. Booth (or both) and shall be selected based upon consideration of the following factors ... a.) Participation in extra-curricular activity, b.) Participation in church and/or community activities, c.) Hardship in life, whether financial or emotional." The recipient shall be chosen by a committee determined by ColumbianaHigh School according to the terms of the Deed of Gift. The scholarship grants shall be made each year to a member of the ColumbianaHigh School graduating classes of 1995 through 2004.


Columbiana Public Library Fund: Monies shall be invested in accordance with the By-Laws of the Foundation as they now exist or are later amended and that the income be distributed on a periodic basis no less than annually to the Columbiana Public Library Fund program in the Village of Columbiana, Ohio.


Columbiana Village Meals on Wheels: Monies shall be invested in accordance with the By-Laws of the Foundation as they now exist or are latter amended and that the income distributed on a periodic basis no less than annually to the Meals on Wheels program in the Village of Columbiana, Ohio.


Funkhouser-Mundy Memorial Fund: Monies shall be invested in accordance with the By-Laws of the Foundation as they now exist or are latter amended and that the income be used for the charitable purpose of the Columbiana Community Foundation, Inc.

The Corrine Mackall Instrumental Music Award: with the scholarship(s) or award(s) to be granted to instrumental music students who are graduates or about to be graduates of Columbiana (Ohio) High School and/or Crestview Local High School (both schools located in Columbiana county, Ohio). The criteria for the scholarship(s) or award(s) (which criteria shall include a preference for, but not be restricted to string and/or keyboard players) shall be established by the Columbiana Music Study Club of Columbiana, Ohio or if that organization is not then existing by the Salem Music Study Club of Salem, Ohio.

Columbiana Community Foundation Vocational Education Scholarship: A $2,000 vocational education scholarship to a Senior high school student at Columbiana High School and at Crestview High School to be used for additional education and/or career training beyond high school.  Eligibility: Graduating High School Seniors attending Columbiana High School or Crestview High School.  Applicants may also be attending Columbiana County Career & Technical Center or Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, with one of the above as his or her home school.  Initial eligibility and recommendations of potential candidates made by Guidance Counselor of School that applicant(s) attend with final approval made by Scholarship Committee of home school.  Payment directly to the student once proof of enrollment is submitted to the Community Foundation Treasurer, but payment will be spread over length of course of study or program being pursued.
