(developed October 20, 2005, revised November 16, 2010)

The mission of the technology planning committee is to promote the use of technology by students and staff in the entire educational process.

(modified October 20, 2005, revised November 16, 2010)

We envision a learning community where:

•Technology will enhance student learning and independence.

•Technology will facilitate learning in an environment where students are active participants.

•Technology will improve the administration of schools.

•Professional staff will use technology effectively.

•Technology will be utilized across the curriculum..

•Students will appreciate the role of technology beyond the school environment.

•Students will acquire 21st century skills.

•All students will use the computer as a tool to write, to prepare presentations, to communicate with other students and to access information. All students will be encouraged to acquire advanced technology skills.

•All teachers will incorporate technology that allows students to become more engaged and involved in their learning.

•Professional development and training opportunities will be provided to enhance the technology skills of district staff.

•All students, teachers, and administrators will have access to educational technology.

•Assistive technology will be provided when necessary and beneficial.
