Red Ribbon Week ends with a BANG as Mr. Sims demonstrates for 4th grade students how he carves pumpkins. While stressing safety, Mr. Sims did a science lesson that students could apply to the real-world. Combining items that are used today to make torches, Mr. Sims took pre-carved pumpkins and 'blew' out the specific pieces to reveal spooky jack-o-lanterns! Very cool!!!
