American Legion Post 290 here in Columbiana came to Joshua Dixon to teach 4th graders flag etiquette. The goal of the lesson was to instill respect for our flag and for our country. Students watched a video and then the American Legion gentlemen did a flag folding that included the meaning, rules and important traditions. Following the presentation, students shared what they learned and the reasons we enjoy the freedoms we have today.
