Dr. Donald Mook, Superintendent, Columbiana Exempted Village Schools, testified in Columbus about about EdChoice changes. While the Columbiana Exempted Village School District is not on the EdChoice expansion list, Dr. Mook encourage the committee to hold all educational entities who accept public tax dollars accountable. He stressed to the committee that allowing local tax dollars to be used for an unregulated private industry of education is fundamentally flawed. He also encouraged meaningful reforms be adopted to the current choice system to include properly funding and governing choice in the educational system.
