The Columbiana Board of Education has selected Mrs. Angie Jeffries to fill the vacant seat of Clipper board member, Mark Hutson. Mrs. Jeffries was sworn in by school treasurer, Mrs. Kathy Davies, June 22nd at the regular June Board of Education Meeting.
Mrs. Jeffries earned an undergraduate degree at Youngstown State University in Business Administration and a masters degree in Higher Education at Columbia University. She has worked at The Ohio State University, John Carroll University and is currently employed at Youngstown State University. Since returning to the area 17 years ago, Mrs. Jeffries and her family call Columbiana and Columbiana Schools home! As a new board member, she is looking forward to serving the Columbiana community and the families of the school system.
Mrs. Jeffries will fill the remainder of Mr. Hutson's two and half year term and has committed to run on the ballot when the term has concluded. The Columbiana administration, faculty and students of the district welcome Mrs. Jeffries to the Board of Education and wish her great success in her new role.
