Congratulations to our young physicists Brayden Clancy, Will Croake, Oliver Cuff, Maci Dailey, Ayden Dennison, Ella Grace Foy, Nick Klindworth, Bell Roush, Trey Snyder, Parker Townsend, Kingsley Wang, Deron Winnale, Jilly Wolsonovich, and Avery Young for taking advantage of their opportunity to excel at YSU Physics Olympics on Saturday, earning a first place overall finish to bring home our second consecutive first place trophy.
Maci Dailey earned a personal first-place finish in hang-ups. Soda Straw Arm team, made up of Will Croake, Nick Klindworth, and Brayden Clancy, earned third place. Ping Pong Ball Launcher team, led by Brayden Clancy and assisted by Deron Winnale, earned first place. Our hot water making team of Oliver Cuff and Ayden Dennison earned third place, and our Egg Drop team of Brayden Clancy and Oliver Cuff earned an impressive first place using only 6 grams of paper and tape to wrap up our day!
