As we begin another exciting school year, we would like to share a few important health reminders to help keep our students healthy and ready to learn.
If your child is experiencing stomach issues and/or a fever, he/she will need to stay home until they are symptom-free for 24 hrs. without medication.
Please visit the site below for required immunizations for school-age children.

Required Vaccines
All Seventh-grade students have required immunizations to attend school. These must be submitted by the second week of school. Any special conditions must have appropriate paperwork.
Additionally, emergency medical forms will be coming home in a packet of important paperwork. Forms need to be filled out and returned immediately. This is an annual requirement.
Type 1 Diabetes Information
Ohio law requires all public schools and chartered nonpublic schools serving elementary students to provide parents and guardians with information about Type 1 diabetes upon a student's enrollment. These informational materials, developed by the Ohio Department of Health, help families recognize the signs and symptoms of Type 1 diabetes and understand the importance of early detection.
Additional information is available through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce's Supporting Students with Diabetes resources.
Medication at School
If your child needs to take prescription or over-the-counter medication during the school day, a Medication Authorization Form must be completed and signed by both the parent/guardian and the child's healthcare provider (only for prescription medication) before medication can be administered at school. Please contact the school office or nurse if you need a copy of the required form.
Vision Screenings
Vision screenings will be conducted this fall for students in Fifth and Seventh grades. If a potential vision concern is identified, parents/guardians will be notified with recommendations for follow-up care.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Clippers healthy, safe, and ready to learn. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's health needs, please don't hesitate to contact the school nurse. We look forward to a happy, healthy, and successful school year!
