A couple of highlights worth celebrating:
CMS is the only 5-star building in Columbiana County!
CMS, CHS, and Dixon have the top three performance ratings among all Columbiana County buildings!
Please click the link below for additional details regarding the CMS State Report Card.

These accomplishments reflect the continued hard work and collaboration of our students, staff, and families.
Keep up the great work, Clippers!

Concrete work will begin on the CMS front entrance sidewalk tomorrow (9/15). As a result, the front entrance will not be accessible for a couple of days.
This construction will not affect daily student drop-off or pickup, as these occur at the rear of the building. However, starting tomorrow (9/15), students dropped off at school after 7:30 must enter through the CMS cafeteria doors at the rear of the building (our old CMS drop-off spot). Students will be buzzed into the building from that entrance until further notice (most likely for a couple days).
Thank you for flexibility with these building improvements.

The tickets are for this Saturday, September 12, as Duquesne takes on YSU at 2 p.m.
There will be a FREE YSU Kids Day event on the YSU Softball Field starting at 11 a.m.
Please call the office with questions.

CMS: 5th Grade Band Information & Instrument Rental Meeting Reminder
A reminder that our 5th Grade Band Information & Instrument Rental Meeting will be held tonight at 6:00 PM in the Columbiana High School Band Room.
Parents and caregivers are strongly encouraged to attend to ensure their student has access to an appropriate instrument and the necessary materials for 5th Grade Band.
Students and families will receive information about the band program, instrument rental options, required supplies, and next steps for beginning instrumental instruction.
Soccer Conflict: If your student has a soccer conflict this evening, please have at least one parent/caregiver attend the meeting so your family receives the necessary rental and instrument information.
The meeting should last no more than one hour.
We look forward to welcoming our newest Columbiana Band families and helping each student begin their musical journey!

Good Afternoon, Clippers Families!
To help keep our students, families, and staff safe and to make morning arrival as smooth as possible, we are updating our morning drop-off procedures beginning Tuesday, August 25.
Morning Drop-Off
• All CMS and CHS students will be dropped off at the rear of the high school near the band doors.
• All CMS/CHS students will enter the building through the CHS Band Entrance and will be directed once they enter the building.
• The CHS Band Entrance will be open from 7:00–7:30 a.m. Doors will be locked after 7:30am.
• Students arriving after the 7:30 a.m. tardy bell must report to their respective building office to sign in through the front doors of their building.
Please take a moment to review the updated traffic pattern and mock-up of the drop-off line before Tuesday morning. Following the designated traffic flow and drop-off procedures will help us keep traffic moving efficiently and ensure a safe arrival for everyone.
We understand that changes to morning routines take time to adjust to, and we truly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work together to provide a safe start to each school day.
Have a great weekend and Go Clips!

School breakfast and lunch are free again this year for students who qualify for reduced-price meals for the 2026-2027 school year. The state budget continues funding to cover the remaining costs of both breakfast and lunch for these eligible students.
Students who qualify for reduced-price categories receive their meals without paying the usual copay.
For your child to receive free breakfast and lunch, families still need to complete and submit the free and reduced-price meal application. These forms will be available at our CMS open house/orientation events on Monday (8./17). The application is also available at the following link:
