CAFSA NEWS, Spring 2022
The members of Columbiana Alumni and Friends Scholarship Association met in January to plan for this year’s scholarships and to set the deadline for applications. This year we will be awarding a total of $5,000 in traditional awards. In addition, we have earmarked $500 to be given to an applicant who meets the requirements for the first Garrod Family Scholarship. Applications are due by March 30th and personal interviews scheduled for April 12th and 13th.
We continue with our efforts to attract donors to CAFSA. Letters were sent in early 2022 to area businesses and organizations to request donations to help continue the funding of our annual scholarship awards. We also welcome private donations from others in the local community, as well as from alumni, faculty and staff. Please visit our website, www.cafsa.us, for more details about our 501(c)(3) organization and how to make a contribution.
As we spring forward and welcome warmer weather, the members of Columbiana Alumni and Friends Scholarship Association wish to encourage students in their yearend academic pursuits and community involvement.
Happy Easter!
Respectfully submitted,
Connie Witt, CAFSA President
