Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. CMS Open House/Orientation Reminders: Monday, 8/18 • 6th Grade - 4:00 p.m. • 5th Grade - 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 8/19 • 7th Grade - 4:00 p.m. • 8th Grade - 5:30 p.m. Students may drop off their supplies in lockers (6th-8th grade) or homeroom (5th grade) during this event. Please park in the back of the school and enter through the CMS cafeteria doors. Go Clips!

There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Saturday, June 21st, in the middle school cafeteria at 9 a.m. for any 7th and 8th graders playing football. Please contact caleb.sims@columbianaschools.org with questions. Go Clips!

This meeting is for parents of any students who plan to participate in CMS Football (7th/8th Grade for the upcoming year). Students/players are not required to attend this meeting, but are welcome. The parent football meeting scheduled for tomorrow (5/31) for the upcoming season has been cancelled. We will send out a notification when that meeting is rescheduled. We apologize for the inconvenience. Go Clips!

CMS: Reminder that fifth grade students going on the field trip on Tuesday will need to bring a brown bag lunch for the day. Also please have students wear tennis shoes/socks.

CMS Reminder: Our 5th/6th grade choir concert is tonight at 6:30, and our 7th/8th grade choir concert is this evening at 7:30. Both will be held in the CHS auditorium. Have a great day & Go Clips!

CMS: The district will operate on a 2-hour early release on the last day of school (Thursday, May 29th ). CMS students will be dismissed at 12:40 on May 29th. Have a great day & Go Clips!

CMS: The boys' annual basketball youth camp for incoming 6th graders (current 5th grade students) will be held at the high school from June 11th to June 14th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The registration link is below: https://www.columbianaboysbasketball.com/youth

Transportation alert. Bus 5 will pick up students on bus 22 --10 min early today This impacts bus 5 as all bus 5 students will be picked up 10 min later. Please be patient and on alert for the bus today. Thank you.

Best wishes to Mrs. Sherwood, Coach Conrad, and the Almighty Cheeto Puffs as they wrap up Day 2 of competition. Our last update from Dallas, Texas, indicates that our team is currently in 5th place out of 84 teams within the division in the World Competition. Go Clips!

CMS: Special thanks to PTO. DODGEBALL MANIA IS HERE! Get ready, Columbiana Middle School — the ultimate dodgeball showdown is happening TOMORROW (5/2) from 12:30 to 2:30 PM! The winning student team will face off against the legendary, unstoppable CMS STAFF in a final match you won’t want to miss! 🎨 Show your grade pride by wearing your team color: 💙 5th Grade – Blue 💛 6th Grade – Yellow 💜 7th Grade – Purple 🧡 8th Grade – Orange 🔴 Staff – Red 🎊 Bring your school spirit, your loudest cheers, and your dodgeball A-game. Whether you're playing or watching, this is going to be a blast! Let the dodgeball fly and may the best team win!

CMS: Our 6th-grade Camp Fitch students are tentatively expected back at the school around 1:15. It will take about 15 minutes to unpack belongings and get them to their owners. Parents who wish to pick up early may do so at or after 1:30 at CMS cafeteria doors (pick-up/drop-off doors). Have a great day and Go Clips!
