To our Clipper Community:
It has been brought to our attention that there are lingering concerns regarding the status of the Athletic Facilities renovations and expenditures. At the latest Board of Education meeting, we demonstrated our commitment to the improvement of Athletic Facilities as well as Joshua Dixon, CMS, and CHS buildings. In fact, we have spent $14million in facility upgrades over the past 14 years, including:
-New CMS roof
-CMS flooring
-CHS and CMS gym floor refinishing
-5 new boilers ($500,000)
-School Buses
-Locker Room Tile
-Athletic Scoreboard
-Security Improvements
-Window Replacements
-Firestone Stadium ($300,000)
We have identified over $5million in needed school repairs and upgrades in the 2025-2026 school year and approximately $3million in Athletic Facility improvements. As we presented in our October BOE meeting, identifying expenditures within the district as a whole is a very important first step to establishing a plan and timeline for improvement. The second step is prioritizing those expenditures. We recognize that the prioritization of these expenditures is relative to each family. It is our duty as a district to navigate within the realities of our budget and work on behalf of the district as a whole. As such, we have been working with our incredibly dedicated Board of Education, Administration, and Boosters team to secure naming rights and funding for Baseball and Softball Fields to be completed in the next year to year and half. We are following the same process for improvements that have been in place over the past 15 years. We want to be clear: the projects will be in progress ,and we plan to garner additional financial support to supplement the district's budget before we can present a solid construction timeline to the community. We want to express our gratitude to our families for their trust in this process that takes time to put in motion and will continue to provide updates as projects move forward.

Athletic message: Tonight's varsity football game away vs Valley Christian has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances at Valley Christian and the football program. A makeup game is to be determined at a later date following the end of the season. Our next varsity football game is Oct 10 at home vs Wellsville.
Good morning. Bus 5 is running approximately 20 minutes late this morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Dixon Parents/Guardians,
The district is requesting that elementary and middle school students attending high school football games be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For safety reasons, sports balls will not be permitted inside the stadium. If a student brings a ball, they will need to either leave it outside the stadium or check it with the ticket takers to be picked up after the game.
We appreciate your support in helping us ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans, as we have received reports of injuries caused by students playing football during games.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Columbiana Admin.

Dear Dixon Families,
We had a wonderful first day of school filled with so many smiling faces! A friendly reminder:
• If your child is a car rider, please be sure they know their last name. The name on the car tag is what we use to call students to line up. This will be very helpful in making dismissal smooth.
• If your child is listed as a walker, that means he or she walks directly from school to home, not to a car. If you are picking up your child by car, please use the car rider line for safety reasons.
Our students know the procedures, and it can be upsetting for them when routines aren’t followed, especially since these processes are in place to keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!

Dixon Garden Harvest: We’re excited to share that we’ve begun harvesting from the Outdoor Learning Center garden that students have worked so hard on throughout the school year!
Mrs. Raub-Carney has placed freshly picked lettuce and mixed greens just outside the bus drop-off doors for anyone who would like to take some home. Please bring a bag and take what you need.
More notices will be shared as additional vegetables become ready for harvest. Let’s help each other enjoy and celebrate the results of our students’ hard work. Pease feel free to spread the word!
Thank you for supporting our school garden!
