Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you of a brief situation that occurred this morning at Joshua Dixon and to provide reassurance regarding building safety. Early this morning, staff noticed that one of our outside heating units was not activating properly and a gas odor was detected. Out of an abundance of caution, the Columbiana Fire Department (CFD) was immediately contacted to assess the situation. CFD responded promptly, inspected the unit, and gave an all-clear, confirming that the building was safe for continued, regular use and school operations could continue as usual. You may have noticed a fire truck outside the building this morning, and we wanted to ensure families were aware of the reason for their presence. Thank you for your understanding and continued trust. Please feel free to contact the school office if you have any questions or concerns.
